Into a saucepan over medium high heat, add oats, water, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract and salt. Let simmer for a few minutes, until thickened to your liking. Stir once in a while to make the oats creamy.
Meanwhile, prepare the topping.
To make the fluffy milk, pour the milk into a tall glas. Microwave for abooout 20-30 seconds, or until the milk begins to bubble (keep an eye on the milk). Then remove from microwave immediately. Using a milk frother, mix the milk until fluffy. No expensive stuff needed! I just use a cheap Ikea milk frother.
Transfer the creamy oatmeal into a bowl. Top with sliced banana, almonds, fluffy milk and lastly some extra maple syrup and cinnamon.
