Chewy Spicy Tofu
Ingredients
Tofu
- 100 g tofu as firm as possible
- corn starch
Sauce
- 1 tbsp water
- 0.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp mirin
- 0.5 tsp gochujang
- 0.5 tsp sesame oil
- 0.5 tsp honey
- 1 ml ginger grated
- 1 ml garlic grated
- 0.5 tbsp green onion sliced
Instructions
- Cut tofu into 1.5 cm cubes.
- Coat the tofu in cornstarch.
- Air fry tofu, 200 C 25 min. Shake the basket every 5 min.
- Meanwhile mix the sauce in a bowl. Water, soy sauce, mirin, gochujang, sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, grated garlic and sliced green onion.
- Heat the sauce up in a pan.
- Add the tofu and coat them in sauce.
- Serve these chewy spicy tofu with some Japanese rice and maybe a salad? I wrapped rice and tofu in lettuce and squeezed some kewpie mayonnaise on top! It was delicious.
