Ingredients

The Meat

  • 4 burger buns
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • rapeseed oil for cooking
  • 4 slices american cheese

The Sauce

  • 1.5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp pickled gherkins chopped

Other Fillings

  • 4 leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 tbsp roasted onion

Instructions

The Meat

  • Combine ground beef, dijon mustard, salt and black pepper in a bowl.
    400 g ground beef, 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • Divide the beef in 4 pieces and shape them into balls.
  • Heat a pan on high heat and add olive oil.
  • Place the beef balls on the pan and smash them flat. When they are almost fully cooked, place cheese on them and let the cheese melt.

The Sauce

  • Prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup and chopped pickled gherkins in a bowl.
    1.5 tbsp mayonnaise, 1.5 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp pickled gherkins

Other

  • Wash lettuce and slice tomato.
    4 leaves of romaine lettuce, 1 tomato
  • Roast burger buns in oven or on a pan.

Build the Burger

  • On the botton burger bun, spread some sauce. Then add lettuce, meat, tomato and roasted onion. On the top burger bun, spread ketchup, then place it on top of the burger.
