This Yoghurt Oat bread is super easy to make. It requires no yeast and the end result is incredible. It is juicy, moist and tastes so good!!

Ingredients

  • 1 dl all purpose flour
  • 1 dl oat flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 0.5 dl sunflower seeds or any other seeds or chopped nuts
  • 0.5 dl raisin or any other dried fruit
  • 200 g plain yoghurt 2 dl
  • 60 g honey 0.5 dl
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • butter for buttering the loaf

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175 C.
  • In a bowl, combine all purpose flour, oat flour, salt, sunflower seeds and raisins.
  • In a separate bowl, combine plain yoghurt, honey and baking soda.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients (or the opposite) and use a spatula to combine.
  • Batter a small square bread loaf (13 cm x 13 cm).
  • Transfer the batter into the buttered bread loaf and press down gently.
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for about 50 min.
  • Cover the loaf with aluminum foil and bake for another 30 min.
  • The internal temperature of the bread should now be at least 99 C.
  • Cover the bread loaf with a kitchen towel and let rest for 1.5 to 5 hours, depending on how patient you are.
  • Slice and enjoy with some butter and cheese. It is amazing!
