Homemade Gnocchi for one
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes about 160 g in total
- 4 tbsp flour might need more if dough is too sticky
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender.2 potatoes
- Remove the skin from the potatoes, and them mash the potatoes.
- Add egg yolk, flour and salt and combine it into a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add some more flour.4 tbsp flour, 1 egg yolk, 1 pinch of salt
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to form ropes.
- Cut the dough into 2 cm pieces and then slide the pieces on a fork to create the lines.
- Sprinkle some flour on the gnocchi to avoid them stick together.
- Boil water to cook the gnocchi. Don't forget to add some salt.
- Cook the gnocchi until they float to the surface.
- Remove the gnocchi from the water.
- Melt butter in a medium hot pan.1 tbsp butter
- Fry the gnocchi until they have gotten some nice color on all sides.
- Serve your homemade gnocchi with whatever pasta sauce you prefer!
